What is HMBG?

The Highlands Mommies Business Group—HMBG (say “HuMBuG”)—is an organization of families and businesses in the Highlands area of Northwest Denver.  We met each other by way of a fantastic parenting group—The Highlands Mommies—and set out to create a forum for working with businesses run and supported by HM families.

Our businesses span services and products, brick-and-mortar storefronts and virtual enterprises. We produce handmade arts and crafts, design logos, develop websites, teach classes, and offer advice. We are as diverse as the community we inhabit, and our businesses meet the varied needs of that community.

We strive to support local businesses—and we encourage you to do the same. By supporting a local business, more than 30% of your hard-earned money stays in the community. And money that stays in the community is money that will trickle into local schools, community development, and much-needed services. So please check out our directory of area businesses, service-providers, artists, and other local entrepreneurs.

Together, we endeavor to foster each others’ businesses through one-on-one interaction as well as by creating events and opportunities to add value and services to our community. See the sidebar/our calendar for information on upcoming events.
